Adolescents Dealing With Acne

The question comes up occasional if acne is hereditary. Yes it is thought this can be the case but the genetic connects are not understood very well. If your parents suffered from acne the question is will there kids have it?

Also diet is believed to be a cause of acne. There are studies that show that the foods once thought to be the cause of acne are not really the problem. The sebaceous glands are a problem. The areas of the body that have the higher concentration of these glands tend to have the most acne outbreaks. These areas are the face, upper back, chest and neck.

If you tend to rub your face with your hands or an article of clothing that rubs the skin in any of the above areas can make the acne worse.

Treating acne depends of course on how sever it is. There are over the counter medications and lotions for milder acne and prescription medications for sever cases. It s recommended to see a dermatologist for sever cases so the proper medication can be subscribed.
